Sisters of the Moon Coconut Milk Bath
The moon sisters are the goddesses of the night, they keep the starry sky in their eyes. The moon holds sway over the tides of both the ocean and womankind, and therein has been instinctively feminized. Among the well known lunar deities is Selene, the Greek titaness, who drives her moon chariot across the heavens and welcomes the night. While other Grecian lunar goddesses hold the moon in their hearts, like mighty Artemis and vigilant Hecate, no other deity was described as the true personification of the moon, but Selene. Her hymns describe Selene bathing in the waters of the ocean before donning her golden crown of moonbeams and driving her long-maned horses at full speed through the stars. Although many cultures worshiped nocturnal celestial deities, the lunar goddesses of Greece could certainly shimmer and shine, black robes trailing, as the sisters of the moon.
Sisters of the Moon smells like the first night harvest of the season. Ripened sweet blueberry eaten on a full moon strengthens the aura and protects the physical body. Grapes, a sacred moon fruit, are also consumed when the moon is ripe to commune with the divine. Lilies are placed on the altar during a new moon to clear your path to success. And magnolia oil, poured over a white candle and lit on the Friday following the new moon, draws your soulmate to you.
